This afternoon, Georgia and I met Stacy, Carter and Riley for an hour of tumbling and gymnastics. Georgia had a ball, except for an incident involving the rainbow parachute. (She ran underneath it, realized I was not with her, and was not very happy!) She really enjoyed jumping on the trampolines. Here is a photo as she and Carter jumped together. (As you can see, G's new summer shirts are already a little too small!)
Recently, we joined the Burgoons and friends to celebrate Carter's 2nd birthday at the Go Play Cafe (http://www.goplaycafe.biz) in Mason. The kids had a great time and Brian got a workout as he followed Georgia through the tunnels and tubes!
Stacy and I attended a basket weaving class last night (and the previous Wednesday). Here is my end result. It is far from perfect, but I had a good time with Stacy and managed to finish the basket without throwing it across the room, which is quite an accomplishment for me. Stacy weaved some blue throughout her basket and it looks really pretty.

On Saturday, we took Georgia to a children's bookstore in Oakely (http://www.bluemanateebooks.com/) so she could meet Corduroy, the bear from the popular children's book. It took her a few minutes to warm up to him, but, as you can see from the photo, she was happy to give him a big hug!

Brian was invited to participate in a poster show in Portland, OR beginning in December and running through part of January. He has 4 pieces in the show. (This one is NOT one that he drew - rather, it is the poster advertisement for the upcoming event. You can't read it, but his name is on that marquee!)
If you plan to travel to Portland in December or January, stop by and check it out!

Georgia's latest favorite book is called Punk Farm. Here is the Amazon.com synopsis:
At the end of a long day, Farmer Joe heads for bed. Back in the barn, a band of his animals prepare to rehearse for their rock concert later that night. Cow and Chicken set up drums and keyboard, while Pig and Goat tune their guitar and bass and vocalist Sheep tests the mike. At the performance, they play their version of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm," with riffs on their instruments instead of the usual animal sounds. Their frantic fans go wild.
