Saturday

Saturday was a busy day for us. Busy but very fun. We met Grandma, Grandpa, Tante and Tony for lunch to celebrate Mother's Day. After lunch, we went to the Krohn Conservatory and enjoyed the butterfly exhibit. Georgia was able "catch" a butterfly by using an orange slice.

Later in the afternoon, we went to a park in KY to enjoy a going-away party for the Burgoons as they prepare to move to Chicago this summer. No photos from that time, but it was lots of fun!

Young's Jersey Dairy Farm

Today we met Tante and Tony at Young's Jersey Dairy farm in Yellow Springs. We had a really great time petting and feeding the goats and cows, playing on the (play) tractors, and eating lunch that ended with some of Young's delicious ice cream. Brian, Tante, Tony and G even managed to squeeze in 18 holes of mini-golf. Congratulations to the big winner - Tony!

A favorite site was the pair of baby goats cuddled together in a bucket. So cute! It was our first time at the farm but definitely not our last.

Field Trip!!

Today Georgia and I went on her class field trip to a local nature preserve. The classes gathered and followed a Naturalist on a guided tour along a wooded trail. We learned about all sorts of forest life, habitats, plants, etc. All the kids seemed to have a great time.

It is hard to believe that the school year is nearly over! We are looking forward to the spring program in May. I am told that Georgia is an enthusiastic singer and performer. So that should be entertaining.

Where did the time go??

I just realized that it has been over a month since I last posted some photos. We've had a pretty typical month with the exception being Georgia's birthday. She turned 4 last week and we can hardly believe it. Here are some photos from the past month, including her party.

Like father, like daughter...

Apparently, the love of reciting movie quotes is passed genetically from father to daughter. This is from There Will Be Blood (trailer attached.

Haircut

Before going bowling, Georgia got a haircut.

We think she looks pretty cute! She liked it today but was less than thrilled at 5am when she got up to use the bathroom and saw herself in the mirror. "I want my hair longer!"

Superbowl!!

On Saturday, Brian and Georgia met the Burgoons at the Superbowl. This was Georgia's first time bowling and she was pretty excited. She bowled along with Stacy's three children and the granddaughter of Stacy and Bill's good friends.
Stacy was surprised to see Brian's skills on the lanes.
Georgia in her bowling shoes, which she loved and was disappointed to have to return.
Her face is weird because she is eating a Tootsie Roll.

Here is Brian showing off his "moves" on the Dance Dance Revolution game. For some reason, he could only move his right leg.

Georgia giving DDR a try.

Jedi Georgia

We were hanging at a bookstore and Georgia and daddy enjoyed playing with the lightsabers. She took to it like a Tuan Tuan to snow. The force is strong with this one.

Happy Holidays!

The holidays are approaching quickly and we have had a busy (for us) month with lots of snow, visits from Grandma and Grandpa (2), Aunt Donna, Aunt Kathy, Tante and Tony. These photos are from last weekend when Georgia and Brian, with the help of our very friendly new neighbors, made a snowman.

Today we made a trip down to spend some time with the Burgoons. Georgia really loves playing with all three of their great children and tonight's play ended with a huge Hannah Montana dance party. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation played on the big screen in the basement.

Thanks to Stacy for sharing the great photos from earlier tonight!

Brian is paying the cost to be the boss.
No snow days for him!!
