Happy 2nd Birthday, Georgia! (Early)

Georgia received an early birthday present from us this weekend - a tricycle! She is still figuring out how it works, but all of her stuffed animals/toys/dolls have taken it for a spin! It is a pretty sweet bike with streamers and a bell! All we need now is a basket for Elmo (and a helmet, of course) and she will be ready to roll!

Georgia with Tante and Nicolas

Saturday night we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Urban's house for dinner. Karen's Godchild, Nicolas (5 years old), was visiting from Cleveland for the weekend. Georgia loved playing with Nicolas and Tante Karen!

Fashion Show

It may be cold outside, but Georgia is getting ready for spring. She wore her spring dresses and danced her way down the runway (our bed) in style!

Good Morning, Georgia!

Georgia has decided that she no longer likes her footie pajamas so she takes them off sometime after going to bed and getting up the next morning. This photo is of her reaction when I went to get her up on Tuesday morning.

Hello, Old Friend!!

On Saturday, we took Georgia to a children's bookstore in Oakely (http://www.bluemanateebooks.com/) so she could meet Corduroy, the bear from the popular children's book. It took her a few minutes to warm up to him, but, as you can see from the photo, she was happy to give him a big hug!

Happy New Year!!

We hope you had a safe and happy new years celebration. We spent the evening at home relaxing after a fun afternoon in Columbus with Brian’s parents and brother. Predictably, Georgia snoozed her way into 2006!

Perhaps inspired by the Buckeyes' big win last night (G-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Bucks!!), I decided to actually cook Georgia’s lunch, instead of simply assembling her usual PB&J or grilled cheese sandwiches! I made homemade macaroni and cheese; she is really doing well using a fork and spoon! Here are some photos of her enjoying her lunch. Imagine her saying, “Mmm…yummy!”

Speaking of the Buckeyes' win, we went down to the Burgoon's house to watch the game and eat lots of great food (never a shortage of that at Stacy's parties! Yum!). Stacy has posted a couple photos from the party. Take a look! Her blog is always worth looking at because her kids at so sweet! http://burgoonfamily.blogspot.com/

"It's a puppy!!"

Tante Karen is dog-sitting over her holiday break and came over with her charge - Parker. Parker is a black lab/Australian shepherd mix. Auntie Kathy and Uncle Danny also brought over her old pal Buddy. Georgia pointed at both dogs and said, over and over, "It's a puppy!"

Well, Christmas is over and Georgia had a great time! Thanks to everyone for the generous gifts and good times. Here is a Christmas Day photo of G with her Supernana.

Tea time!!

Georgia received a tea set from the Burgoons and she loves it! Here she is having a party.

Introducing Clementine & Zeke!!

Georgia's Christmas gift arrived early in the form of 2 goldfish named Clementine (white with some orange around her face) and Zeke (mostly orange with some white and black spots). She LOVES them already! Merry Christmas!!

More Poster News

Here is a picture from the Art of Musical Maintenence Show in Portland that is featuring four of Brian's pieces. They are circled. Brian's work is featured between two Portland poster artists, Guy Burwell and Mike King. Mike King has been designing and silkscreening posters for almost 20 years. Pretty good company to be in.

New Poster

Brian entered another poster contest today. The purpose of the poster is to promote a concert for the very popular band Queens of the Stone Age. The theme is based on a song called Monster in the Parasol. He designed and drew it in 12 hours because it had to be submitted by noon!

Saturday at the Zoo and Brian's next event

We went to the Cincinnati zoo last night with the Burgoons. Lots of fun - here is a photo.

Brian is involved in another event this weekend (Dec. 3) at the Southgate House in Newport - the Indie Media Fest. Brian helped organize the art component and is among the artists displaying their work at the event. Here is the poster that Brian designed for the event:

Georgia is working on a new play…

You’ve probably heard of the play A Raisin in the Sun. Well, Georgia is apparently working on a toddler version, tentatively titled A Raisin in the Nose. Yesterday, she stuck a raisin up her nose. Fortunately, it fell out before I had to extract it with tweezers.

We are looking forward to the Thanksgiving weekend. Thursday, we will travel up to Columbus to spend the day with Brian’s family. Friday, we will have brunch with my family. We might even meet up with the Burgoon family at the zoo on Friday night for the Holiday in Lights event. Georgia LOVED all of the Halloween decorations when we went trick-or-treating in KY, so I think she will really enjoy the Christmas displays this year.
