That's right, sweetie. You're a clown.
I just realized that I forgot to post photos from Christmas morning. We had a great morning. Georgia was very excited to open and then play with her gifts. I think her favorite part was the stocking, which we did last because Brian and I nearly forgot about it! She loves her Dora, Boots and Swiper figures, which were in her stocking. She also enjoys the Little People preschool, especially the playground parts of it.
On the Saturday before Christmas, we hosted Granddad, Nana and Matt for brunch and had a great time. Georgia received and watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas, a treat since it was pre-empted by another program this year. Later on Christmas Day, we went over to Aunt Donna's house for Christmas with the extended family. On Tuesday, we went up to Wilmington where Tante and Tony hosted a lunch (jambalaya...yum!) and some more gift-giving. Along with the three of us, Tante & Tony, Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Danny & Buddy, we celebrated with Tony's parents, Patty & Truman. It was a fun day that capped off a great (but busy) holiday weekend. We all really enjoyed the weekend and were amazed by the generosity of our families. Thank you!!
Earlier today, we met the Burgoons and friends at the zoo's Festival of Lights. After a short and only slightly challenging wait in line, Georgia met the big man in person. Her first encounter with Santa was a good one, with no tears or trepidation. This is how their conversation transpired:

We are gearing up for Halloween and the chill of winter. Brian has already started shrink-wrapping the apartment windows in his efforts to save heat. Last weekend we visited Aunt Kathy in Columbus and had a great time. Saturday night, we met the Burgoons and friends at the Cincinnati Zoo. All of the kids came in costume - lots of Spidermen this year, I think - and had a good time. These are the best I could do for photos of G in her Halloween costume. (She's become quite the diva when she sees the camera. Her typical response..."No pictures!")

**Sorry it has been a while since we updated. We made some changes to our computer set up and uploading photos is a bit more challenging than it used to be.**
Georgia’s first day of preschool went very well. When Brian got her up and dressed her, he reminded her that she would be going to school. She said, “That’s right. Mrs. Bruce.” (Mrs. Bruce is her teacher.) She was a bit confused and upset when we said goodbye and left her on the playground with her classmates, but she ended up having a great day. She was excited to see us when we picked her up but she certainly did not want to leave! We go back on Friday for day 2. Brian and I think she is really going to love school!!
Stacy sent us this photo from the party. As you can see, Georgia got right in there with the older kids to help groom the horse.
We just got home from Riley's 5th birthday party at the horse farm. Georgia had a GREAT time! She loved Ms. Barb, one of the owners who also facilitated the party. (She is the woman on the right in this photo.) Georgia sat on a horse, but did not want to ride it. (We are surprised that she even sat on the horse so that was something!) We all had a great time and appreciate Riley inviting us to celebrate her special day with her.
Georgia is getting ready for the Buckeyes’ big game against Texas on Saturday (even though she will be in bed for all but the first 15 minutes of it!). GOOOOOOO BUCKS!!!!
